As there's a seemingly endless number of options for web developers out there in the land of Google, I'm curious to know what frameworks, systems, tools, etc everyone uses when they are faced with the task of creating a new website.
In our university days it was required that we code everything using a basic text editor but it would really surprise me if this was still the method any of us were using in the 'real world'.
For me, BarCamp introduced me to the name of a few popular Content Management Systems that I then went home and researched. This is how I was first introduced to Drupal which continues to amaze me on a daily basis.
Anyway, I realize that if I had not attended the lecture on Content Management Systems that day then there's no telling what method of website development I would be using today. So I figured it would be interesting to find out from other (now more experienced) developers what methods they used to design and create websites.
